Acquisitions, Seizing Opportunities
In addition to developing new multi-family communities from the ground up, Wood Partners has established a dedicated acquisition team to handle the purchase of existing assets.
This team, comprised of some of the savviest, most experienced acquisition experts in the country, works closely with the company’s local directors, as well as the construction and operations teams, to identify compelling opportunities and quickly perform the necessary due diligence. The strength of this arrangement, in addition to the depth and diversity of Wood Partners’ financing sources, allows the acquisition team to seize opportunities ahead of the competition, at prices below replacement costs.
Going forward, the acquisition team is focused on approximately 20 high-growth markets throughout the country where the supply of apartment homes is constrained. Its primary targets are major out-of-favor markets with high population and job growth, avoiding the currently more expensive high-barrier coastal and over-heated urban markets.

"Terrazas River Park" Miami, Florida. A 324 unit high rise building located along the Miami River adjacent to the Miami Medical Center. Originally built as luxury condominiums, Terrazas was purchased at a discount to cost of over 50%. Currently enjoying a successful lease up.
