Director
Charles Barrus is the regional development director for Wood Partners in the South Region, covering primarily Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and southern Virginia. He has development and finance responsibility for all new projects in the South Region. Since 2002, Barrus has been actively involved in the financing, development and disposition of more than 6,000 multifamily units with a total capitalization in excess of $800 million.
Before joining Wood Partners in 2002, Barrus worked as a manager in business planning and development for the Walt Disney Company, where his responsibilities included hotel development and transportation strategy. Prior to his current role at Wood Partners, he was a development director for the firm in North Florida.
Barrus received an MBA degree from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College.
