Frank Middleton is the regional development director for Wood Partners in the Western Region, which includes California and the Pacific Northwest. His responsibilities include oversight of the development and finance of all new projects on the West Coast.

Middleton joined Wood Partners in 2005 as a part of the firm’s western expansion plan. Under his leadership, the Southern California division has developed affordable, urban infill and mixed-use projects in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. Mr. Middleton went on to expand Wood Partners’ west coast presence by opening an office in Northern California in the spring of 2008 and in Seattle in November 2010. Since 2005, Middleton has been actively involved in the financing, development and disposition of more than 2,000 multifamily units with a total capitalization in excess of $600 million. 

Prior to joining Wood Partners, he was a developer with Calpine Corporation, where he developed energy infrastructure domestically and internationally. His financial experience includes raising over 1 Billion dollars of debt and equity (foreign and domestic).

Middleton earned his MBA degree at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina where he majored in Real Estate Development and Finance. He also holds a BA degree in English from the College of Charleston, South Carolina.
