Thomas Shoup is director in charge of construction for the eastern region of Wood Partners. He has been responsible for the construction of more than 19,000 apartment units during his career.

Shoup has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, construction management, and multifamily development and construction with Wood Partners and Trammell Crow Residential (TCR.) From 1991 until 1998, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Paces Contractors, the TCR-Charlotte construction affiliate. Shoup joined Wood Partners in 1998. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a licensed General Contractor in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.

Shoup earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1979.
